Queens Gallery

Images showing some of the wonderful Faberge collection that can be seen within the Queens Gallery housed at Holyrood Palace Edinburgh.  Also pictured are two statues which are also part of the Gallery collection.  If you are in the city the complete collection, the palace and also the ruins of its abbey are definitely worth visiting.

Wall

Image taken in North Queensferry (Fife).  Detail shows wonderful textures and colours of the worn stones that make up a wall near to the harbour and just under the world famous railway bridge sited nearby.

New postcard range

These are just some of the 26 designs for my new postcard range which is under development and should be out very soon.  The range features images taken from the succesful range of greeting cards that are currently available.  Depending on reaction (and sales!!) I do hope to produce some original artwork exclusively for postcards in the coming months.

Captured on New York's 5th Avenue.  Just one of the many flags seen during the countless parades held on Manhatten Island.

Panelled door

[[posterous-content:pid___0]][[posterous-content:pid___1]]This finely carved wooden door is the entrance to a bank in Edinburgh.  Located in St Andrews Square this bank has lain empty for years, well before the current malaise, and was perhaps a portent of things to come..?

A statue of St Andrew, patron saint of Scotland, on George Street in Edinburgh.

Looking down a small close (alley) in Dunbar Scotland.  As well as my eye, the ceramic tiles caught the 'light at the end of the tunnel'.........

Palm Springs

This beautifully carved gate is in Palm Springs, California.  The rustic Mexicana style is very prevelent here and sits alongside the 'modern' architectural styles of the 50's and 60's tnat are so prevelent in the area.

 

Holyrood Palace

Detail taken from the wonderfully ornate fountain sited just outside the entrance to Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh.

Evening News article

My photography was featured in Edinburgh's main newspaper today.  The paper edition of the Edinburgh evening News was actually a double page spread with 8 images which you can see on this post.  Thanks to the team at the paper for their coverage which promoted my current exhibition and were so very complimentary about my imagery..........
