Copenhagen in Edinburgh

This detail is of Copenhagen, The Duke of Wellington's horse.  It stands at the east end of princes Street in Edinburgh with The Dike himself sitting on him.  The horses legs caught my attention as there are allegedly a set of rules connected with them.  In this instance, having the two front legs off the ground (his rear legs are firmly planted to the statues plinth) means that the rider died in battle.  Other combinations have different meanings.....
